Blue Lagoon — is Comino Island’s iconic spot known for crystal-clear and turquoise waters. Not far from the lagoon you will find the Santa Marija Tower, a watchtower with history going back to the 17th century. Built by the Knights of St. John, it served as a crucial lookout and protected Malta from invaders and pirates. You can get to know the museum and walk up to the top for a entrance fee of €3.

The island has little vegetation and you better bring a hat and enough water if you want to explore the island. Comino might seem like a barren rock from afar, but you can find a small oasis in the islands interior where the island’s only two inhabitants grow fruits and vegetables.

You either take a ferry from Sliema or a smaller boat from Cirkewwa to get here! Enjoy the island and please avoid leaving rubbish behind (in the sea and on land) as Comino is a sensitive ecosystem.
