Stone Beach — Located at the end of Manoel Island, Stone Beach is a space for locals who go for a spontaneous swim not far from home. The beach is entirely made up of rocks, but it is a great spot to dip into the water all year round. The water quality is pretty good unless too many boats go in and out of the bay area. The view towards Valletta is fantastic since St. John's Co-Cathedral is just infront of you.

Manoel Island is named after Portuguese Grand Master António Manoel de Vilhena who built a fort on the island in the 1720s. The island is a “green lung” surrounded by commercial areas such as Gzira, Sliema and Ta’ Xbiex. Though the island isn’t taken much care of, you will see many locals spend their weekends here. We have even seen groups of people playing cricket on the island!
