Stone Beach — Located at the end of Manoel Island, Stone Beach is entirely made up of rocks and it is a great spot to dip into the water all year round.
The water quality is pretty good unless there are too many boats going in and out of the bay area. The view towards Valletta is fantastic and St. John's Co-Cathedral is just in front of you.
Manoel Island is named after Portuguese Grand Master António Manoel de Vilhena who built a fort on the island in the 1720s.
The island is a “green lung” surrounded by commercial areas such as Gzira, Sliema and Ta’ Xbiex.
Though the island isn’t taken much care of, you will see many locals spend their weekends here. We’ve even seen groups of people playing cricket on the island!
