Gnejna Bay — One of Malta’s sandy beaches in the Northwest and one of the best sunset views. We usually walk here from Riviera Beach which is located right next to it. You just have to hike up the rocks that you see on the footage and you can either continue walking on the plateau or you make your way down the steep hill to the beach.

The rock formations and different colours along the entire spectrum from brown to orange will fascinate you, especially at sunset. The tipping point of the peninsula has eroded in a way that reminds us of the table mountain in Cape Town. Compared to Riviera Beach and Golden Bay you will share the bay with only a hand full of tourists or might even be on your own.

If you make it to the other end of the bay you will see Lippia Tower, built in the early 1600s. It formed part of the coastal defence network constructed by the Knights of St. John.
