Regatta Bormla – is one of Malta’s most beloved traditional rowing events, organised by the Bormla (Cospicua) Regatta Club under the association Regatta Malta.

It takes place in the Grand Harbour, usually on dates such as Freedom Day (March 31) or Victory Day (September 8) when crews from Bormla, Birgu, Senglea, Kalkara and other local clubs compete against each other.

Along the waterfront in Bormla you’ll see large blue and white flags, rowers preparing their boats in the boathouse and locals gathering to watch from balconies.

In recent years, Bormla has won many shields in both youth and senior categories.
