Ta’ Kalanka Sea Cave

Ta’ Kalanka Sea Cave is a natural sea cave located between St. Peter’s Pool and St. Thomas Bay. You can stay under the rock, enjoy the shade and avoid a sunburn.

The water is pretty clear and it is a good spot for swimming since no waves enter the bay area.

Every time we go here we wonder about the rock formations and ask ourselves how wind and water have shaped it the way it is. If you love caves, you might want to check out Il-Kalanka Bay, too.

To get to Ta’ Kalanka Sea Cave you can take the bus to Birzebbuga or Marsaskala, go off at the Delimara stop and walk for a little while. Or you order a Bolt/Uber that takes you right to the bay.

We love doing the boat ride from Marsaxlokk with drop-off at Camel Rock and a 15 minute walk to get here.
